Georgia Southern Downed by Wofford 71-57

Georgia Southern faced off with Wofford on Sunday, Mar. 9 and was edged by the Terriers 71-57 in conference play. The Eagles are now 0-2 against Wofford this season. The Eagles got six points and eight rebounds from Marvin Baynham. Tre Bussey scored 14 points and added three rebounds. Lee Skinner recorded a double-double for the Terriers on a game-high 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Southern Methodist Moves Down 7 Spots to #25 in AP Poll: Mar 10th, 2014

Virginia Commonwealth, who enters the AP Top 25 at #23 this week, leads two new teams in the poll. Southern Methodist fell the most this week, losing seven spots to drop to #25.

With two outings that included a team season high in scoring, T.J. Warren, a 6-8 sophomore from NC State, is the StatSheet NCAA Player of the Week. StatSheet's NCAA Freshman of the Week is West Virginia's Devin Williams and Todd Mayo from Marquette is StatSheet's NCAA 6th Man of the Week.

The Eagles got the win with eight points and eight rebounds from Marvin Baynham. Tre Bussey had a team-high 17 points and added three assists. On Saturday, Mar. 1, Georgia Southern took on Citadel and was smoked by the Bulldogs 80-63 in conference play.
